CAPE TOWN DAY TOURS
F/Day Cape Point Tour
Experience some of the most spectacular views in the
world. The tour begins with a scenic drive along the Atlantic coast
passing through the fishing village of Hout Bay. Here you will have the
option of taking a short boat trip to Duiker Island to view the Cape Fur
seals (own account). The tour then heads along Chapman�s Peak Drive on
to Cape Point and the Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve. From there we
travel to False Bay and return to Cape Town by way of the Simon's Town
naval base where we visit the Penguin colony at Boulders Beach. Travel
via Fishhoek fishing village and Muizenberg to Kirstenbosch National
Botanical Gardens for a short walking tour of these beautiful gardens.
Return to Cape Town in the late afternoon.
F/Day Hermanus Tour
This circular tour takes you over a mountain pass to the
seaside town of Hermanus. This town, nestled between mountains and the
sea, offers some of the best shore based whale watching opportunities in
the world (August � November). Return to Cape Town in the late
afternoon.
F/Day Winelands Tour
Get swept away by the overwhelming beauty of rolling
vineyards and perfect blue sky. Start off with a visit to Paarl and the
spectacular Paarl Valley. Here we enjoy a wine tasting and cellar tour
at one of the local estates. The tour continues north-west to the
beautiful village of Franschhoek and then on to Stellenbosch, the second
oldest town in South Africa and the historic heart of the country's wine
region. The final wine-tasting will take place here at one of the
well-known estates. (Please note that this tour may run in reverse.)
Cape Town City Tour & Table Mountain
comprehensive city orientation tour starting with a trip
up Table Mountain by cable car (weather permitting, and cableway ticket
for own account). The state-of-the-art cable car rotates 360� on its way
to the top, offering a panoramic view. At the summit are short walks to
enjoy the magnificent vistas. Other highlights include a brief tour of
the Malay Quarter, city centre, Company Gardens and Castle of Good Hope
The tour than travels to Milnerton Lighthouse for an opportunity to
photograph Table Mountain, a brief stop at Diamond Works and then return
to hotel or on to the Victoria & Alfred Waterfront where the tour ends.
